Using Slab Sawing Services To Repair Or Improve Your Property

Blog

Fixtures like driveways, sidewalks, and roads that are made out of concrete are not immune to damages. Long after they have been poured, smooth and dried, they may need to be serviced, repaired or removed. To improve the function or appearance of your property, you may need to cut into concrete fixtures. You can use slab sawing services to work on structures made out of concrete.

Installing Pipes and Plumbing

When you need to have pipes and plumbing installed under existing concrete fixtures, your most viable option involves cutting into and removing concrete fixtures like driveways, sidewalks and roads. It may not be practical to tear up and remove the entire fixture. Instead, you may only need to cut into and dig below a small section to get the pipes or plumbing fixtures laid.

A professional slab sawing service can cut into and loosen part of the concrete fixture on your property. You can then remove the area where the pipes and plumbing will be laid. After the work is finished, you can then have new concrete poured and smoothed in the sawed area.

Repairing Broken Concrete

Contractors who work in slab sawing services can also use their concrete sawing machinery to remove sections of fixtures that need to be repaired. Concrete driveways, parking lots, roads and other fixtures can become damaged. As the earth settles or the weather changes, these factors can cause concrete to expand, crack and become uneven.

The damaged sections can be sawed into and removed. As the property owner, you can then pour and smooth new concrete to replace the broken areas. You avoid having to pour concrete over damaged sections or simply leaving the sections in place.

Expanding Concrete

Preventing damages to concrete fixtures can also call for property owners like you to expand them. To accommodate the weather conditions or the shifting or settling of the earth, you can choose to expand sections of concrete fixtures and add new concrete to them. To make room for new concrete, you can saw into and remove sections to create additional space for pouring new concrete in them.

These purposes are some that call for hiring professional slab sawing services, like the ones A & B Concrete Coring Company offer, for your property. You can lay new pipes and plumbing fixtures as needed under existing concrete fixtures. You can also cut into and get rid of or expand on damaged sections by pouring new concrete in them.

We were able to find an incredible contractor that we knew would do a good job. After he poured the pads, it was amazing to see how much better things looked.
